Warriors Tongue Phlippines where it begins..
Masia OneI met the boys from 22Deep while performing in Singapore. They moonlight as part of the Mighty Miscellaneous Crew, one of the dopest Hiphop acts to come out of Southeast Asia. We reconvened in Manilla Philippines where they graciously showed me their hometown together with Wika Fam.
In between meals of garlic rice, daring me to try Balut & swigs of Red Horse, we decided it would be great to shoot a guerilla style music video for Warriors Tongue. The homeboy Tempes took us to his hood in Tondo - and the rest is history.
It is my greatest intention to show, through my videos how people live around the world. I don't mean cubicle jobs, strolling the mall and coming how to your PVR. I mean LIVE; colors, smells, textures, poverty, riches - the whole shebang of what makes the world tick. It stunned me how similar Tondo was to Kingston Jamaica. If you can't leave your living room in the dead of winter, I hope you enjoy these pieces of travel.
